Located at the southern end of
the beautiful Fal estuary with its network of intriguing creeks and
rivers, the resort of Falmouth has plenty to offer the visitor.
A variety of restaurants, bistros, specialist shops and notable
historic buildings abound. The Falmouth Art Centre, the Falmouth Art
Gallery and the Cornwall Maritime Museum are all worth a visit
whilst the Princess Pavilion has an extensive programme of
exhibitions, concerts and theatrical events.
Due to the warm air of the gulf stream, the area enjoys a
year-round, sub-tropical environment in which a wonderful collection
of exotic plants flourish. Falmouth's public gardens are a delight
and the spectacular gardens of Trelissick, Glendurgan and Trebah are
close by.
